I have a system with a vid card that doesn't like games. Starcraft and Pax Imperium II both run fine for a time then they just drop off back to windows desktop. I'm trying to find new drivers but the only clue I have to the manufacturer is the drivers are put out by VideoExcel. Can't find them anywhere on the web. I have the latest S3 generic drivers and directx 5.0, even tried 6.0 but it still crashes. Any help here?
Go to http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=drivers and download their detonator driver for your vid card. You don't have to use VideoExcel's drivers. The Nvidia ones are supposed to be the best out there and work for all their chipsets. You won't have to worry about updates from VideoExcel again!
Actually, if you really want VideoExcel drivers then go to their site http://www.chaintech.com.tw/PRODUCTI/ProductExcel.htm, as chaintech owns/makes those products, and you can go to driver downloads from their site.
