Fast write enabled?Cusl2-c 3D prophet2PRO 64

Hi there.I have a small problem.Although I thought the fast write is enabled at the motherboard bu default and it is used depending the VGA,I found out in the Sisoft SAndra that my mobo's fast write is disabled!Do you know how to fix it or it is sisoft's wrong diagnosis.

The default on my ASUS motherboard (A7V) is fast-write disabled. You can enable it in BIOS. In my BIOS, AGP fast write is in the 'advanced' section in the 'CHIP configuration' sub-section. If you enable it and get any system instability you can always go back into BIOS and disable it.

Well bad brain thanx for your advice but the problem is that there is no option in the bios enabling or disabling fast write.I upgrated bios to version 1007 3 days ago(I had 1006a) but they didn't put any option to this.I used NVMAX and GF teak utility from www.guru3d.com.The utility shows me the option to enable fast write,I do so but after I run the Motherboard info with sisoft sandra it shows me that it's disabled.Any other ideas?

It seems the Intel 815 chipset doesn't support AGP fast write so it looks like you're out of luck. Though maybe someone with more expertise knows a solution.

For what its worth though I didn't notice any difference after I enabled it.

Some things are worth upgrading for but I don't think AGP fast write is one of them

Thanx again bad brain!I think you are right.The intel 815 does not support fast write.I made the same question ath the motherboards section and they all told me so.I thought that it would give me a better perfomance but as you and all the others at motherboard section say that it doesn't make a difference I don;t have to worry that I don't have that option.Anyway my 20013dmark score is about 3600 so if I want a better system I have to change the system :-)
We always want to be at the top but who has this plenty of money to do so ;-0 as a result of that we try to find solutions and push hardware to the limit to say that we have THE TOP PC!
