Counter Strike and Voodoo 3 average fps?

Guys, what is the maximum fps you get in CS at 1024 res and what cpu and mobo you have? I have yet to install the mobo and cpu in my signature (im on a amptron m5598lmr and 500 k6-2) and get around 15 to 30 fps on it. How much you think I'll get on my new mobo+cpu combo(look at sig)? Reason i have not installed mobo is that I thought my case was big enough. Guess not so i have to wait until thursday until i get paid. Do yuo get slow downs in CS at all and if so how much?

    Doesn't drop below/go above 71fps.

Specs below. This is at 1024x768 in OGL.

    I don't understand why I can't get higher than 71fps.

    a) Sync all frames are deffinately off for OGL.
    b) At 1024x768, the refresh rate for my monitor is 85Hz anyway.

    in console type "fps_max 100"

that'll get your fps upto 100

for some reason Half life limits you to 71 fps until u tell it to render 100 fps

I CAN'T ****IN WAIT TO INSTALL MY ASUS!!!!! I'M TIRED OF *******S WITH HIGHER FPS KILLING ME!!! Ok, Ok, I'll settle down! I used to play on my freinds 1.2 TB and geforce2 and he got 99 fps all the time and I got average 30 kills/10 deaths ratio on it all the time. And its on a 56k! So there goes theories of low-ping-better ratio myths. I have come to the conclusion that HL netcode is the best there is compared to other games. I play UT once in awhile, but I never get any kills--remember in TFC around 4 patches ago when you were sniper and you would fire then it would take a second to actually fire? Well thats UT code. Great graphics, just lousy netcode for us 56kers.
