Video Card Problem

Hi everyone, can you help me?

I have got an old 8meg ATI XPERT@PLAY 98 AGP 2X video card, with which everything runs fine.
When I try to install my new GeForce 2 MX 400 my PC will not even boot up. I have tried various other cards like the Voodoo 4 which run on other PC's, none of which will run on mine.

Any ideas...

Now I want to get this right. The computer will not boot at all, or the video display doesn't come up. I don't see any reason why a vid card would cause the entire computer not to at least start booting. Are you getting error beeps or anything?

The PC powers up, but my monitor just sits there, no beeps nothing.

What motherboard/CPU/power supply do you have? It might be a low voltage problem...

I have a PIII 1ghz processor, a 350 Watt PSU and a Abit VP6 Motherboard
