Here, here! I'll be picking up a GF3. Now I just need to think about what the system to back it up will be. The AMD dually setup seems like it wont be out in a workstation geared configuration for quite some time and my patience is on E and running on fumes

I will be taking a wait and see approach. I remember quite clearly the horror stories surrounding the original GeForce. And while I'm sure they were greatly exaggerated, I think there will be similar problems with the initial Geforce 3 cards. I'll wait for the next revision. Or maybe skip the entire generation. My GTS should hold me over for a while more, since there is such stagnation in the gaming industry at the moment. When there are a few industry standard gaming engines that exihibit outstanding results only with DirectX 8 technology, then I'll probably look to upgrade. I just don't think its wise to jump on the boat yet. However, I'm glad you fellas will be...

I might be in the market for a GF3 if/when my next overtime check comes in But like Jesse said- there's such stagnation in the gaming industry, there's really no reason to upgrade my TNT2 right not- I'm not the crazy gamer I was a year ago, and can't justify that kinda performance... today. But why upgrade to last years tech when todays is availible?

There's still nothing my GTS can't do, and those introductory prices are a bit more than I find comfortable for a video card...

I'll be checking for more reviews for the different makers of GF3 and make my purchase on which card that overclock the best and has more goodies thrown in, and etc...
Maybe at the end of this year, GF3 GTS 2 or GF3 MX is becoming more of entry level.

If you ask me the GeForce3 has a pretty fair price (~$390) on it considering the GeForce 2 Ultra came out with a price tag of ~$500! And that was just a suped up GeForce 2.

Problem is by the time each games use all the options that the geforce3 can do, there will already have a new geforce 4 or...
ok there is a few game that will use the options but not that much.
if you know what i mean
Ex: Which game use all the options that the v5 can do? none i think?!?

I'm getting the same card as BladeRunner except mine will be the Pure instead of the Deluxe.

I've already let the shop know that the minute the card gets in, to bring it over to my place. Looking forward to it and hopefully I do my upgrade before it arrives. I'm still running a Pentium III 700 MHz chip.

Games the will use new GeForce3 features will be out this fall. Neverwinter Nights comes to mind. Can't wait
