    Anyone have a GF2MX 64MB card?

    How does it do, and how do you like it?

    As far as im aware the GF2 MX only comes in 16mb (rare) and 32Mb flavours.....

    If I am not mistaken Hercules has just come out with a 64mb MX2 2 card

    I've definately never heard of a 64mb model. I just had a quick look at their website and I couldn't see anything like that.

    I've never seen a 64meg Geforce2:MX card and I've certainly looked around!

    odd, never seen anything but the 32Mb version, then again, the DDR version of the MX took me by surprise, so with NVidia, I suppose anything is possible...

    No it's just me modfying the driver ini file, One of my friends kept on asking when I was getting an Ultra so I just did it to shut him up It's an Asus GTS 32mb. I showed him this, he he he:-



    I would find it odd that a 64mb MX was released, as bandwidth is really still the major issue with these cards. Even GTS has little gain by having 64mb over 32mb. However like Centurion says nothing Nvidia do would surprise me.

    Could be a mistake?. Like this.....Check THIS thread out for a company that doesn't know what it's products, are or do.

    Nice1 BladeRunner! I think i'll mod my MX to a Geforce3 lol

    About the 64Meg MX thing, I think I read somewhere that the MX chipset only supports up to 32megs of memory anyways......

    Checked pricewatch and there they are. 64meg Geforce2 MX 64meg with twinview $155.

    Hercules introduced a version of the MX recently with TwinView and 64mb of 5.5ns SDRAM.

    Yeah there is a 64MB card out by Hercules. Here is part f their press release:

    THE 3D PROPHET II MX RANGE WIDENS

    CROYDON 22nd February, 2001 – Hercules announces 2 new graphics boards based on NVIDIA’s GeForce2 MX chipset, to complete the range of graphics boards dedicated to the mainstream market.

    At the top of this range, 3D Prophet II MX 64MB offers a 175MHz 64MB frame buffer, for faster 3D texturing in the highest resolutions and an excellent FSAA (Full-Scene Anti Aliasing) support.

    Hercules is also offering a new product for the PCI market. The 3D Prophet II MX PCI has been specifically created for customers who are in need of an upgrade featuring the latest in mainstream GPU technology.
