Looks pretty, but I'd prefer it if more time has been put into making it a much better cross platform benchmarking tool, supporting both major api's, unlike the previous overly biased Mad Onion creations.

My main reasons for not seeing 3D mark as a very good "comparison" benchmarking program are outlined in a reply in this topic HERE

If you have a Geforce card and a high clock P3, It will give you a warm feeling inside, but it bears little resemblance to real world gaming or meaningful comparisons between different card types.

It is however ok for your own D3D system tweaking and stability tests, and it's quite pretty.

Man, i cannot wait till 3dmark 2001 comes out. It will be so awsome and i just upgraded my system so i could get above 6000 3dmarks on 2000. If madonion stays consistant i will probably get about 1000 3dmarks with 2001. Hehe!

I hear ya' BladeRunner. I have a GeForce2 GTS that I like very much when I see a score of over 8000 marks! My brother on the other hand has an ATI Radeon DDR that wont score over 5000. We both run P3 700's BX for me and 815 for him. Other wise very simial systems. When it comes down to actual game performance There is little difference between the two, I actually think the visual quality is better on the Radeon.
