Quality of the GeForce TV output.

Has anyone used their GeForce TV out??
How does it look/perform with games or DVD's on a television.
Does anyone know where I can get information or a review of this type?

I don't know where you can get a review, but from personal experience I'm pleased with the tv-out on my Hercules Geforce2 GTS 32MB. I sort of lucked out when I bought it because most of the tv-out tweaking software (TVtool) is made for this model of Geforce. Gaming looks great on the tv, and if you have an S-Video cable and tv that supports it, you'll be in heaven. Granted, games look clearer (if you like seeing pixels) on a monitor because of the higher resolution, but DVD's look MUCH better on a tv (DVD's look horrid on a monitor compared to a tv- this is one area where low res is better than high). If I had a 36"+ tv, I'd never use my monitor again!

You must, however, that the Connexant TV-out chipset doesn't have as good TV-out quality as the competing solutions.

I have a Asus V6800 GeForce DDR and the T.V. out quality is very good, even when using the composite(RCA) out. I have not tried the S-video out yet but i assume it's even better than the RCA out.

I've seen the tv-out quality on an ATI All-in-Wonder card and I can honestly say that the Geforce has superior quality even when watching DVD's (on the ATI card, colors didn't blend well so when there was smoke on the sreen you could see lines where the colors should've blended). The only thing that DOES limit the quality of the output is the tv used. I'd love too see what the tv out looks like on an HDTV...
