Aren’t they backward compatible? .I thought that PCI 2.1 is compatible with PCI 2.0. I’m not sure. Did you have an onboard video earlier? .If so there could be a jumper to disable it in the motherboard or there could be an option in the bios. If you didn’t disable the onboard video ,it will be the default video card. Let us know some more details.
