Asus GeForce 2 MX troubles on Acer Asphire

A friend of mine got a PIII 550,128mb,ESS Solo, Acer Asphire with V66M mb, it's an intel of some sort with an Acer BIOS.

Anyway the problem is that the GF2 MX keeps hanging when in Q3A or any other OpenGL games i've tested. I've tried the card on my system (PII 350 i440BX) and the card works perfectly fine so I'm wondering if anyone out there who had similar prob could give some suggestions.

The mobo is not providing the card with enough power, happened on my ASUS p5a mobo with an Elsa Gladiac MX.

I downloaded the newest AGP drivers for the chipset, and everything is now nice and rosy. I used to have exactly the same problem as you.
