The Best Geforce2 GTS Cards....

Hey, I'm shopping around for a GeForce2 GTS card and was wondering which one is the best for the price. I'm upgrading from a Viper V770 Ultra on an Athlon system. Thanks for your replies

All the GeForce2 GTS cards are about as fast. You should look for the prices and Software offer and see what fits you better.
Read reviews arround on the web ( http://www.anandtech.com is my favorite).

It sounds like every TNT2 Ultra owner is doing that now me included. I have enjoyed my Viper V770 Ultra, and I just think it is time to upgrade.

I recommend the Asus V7700 Pure or Deluxe. Thats the Geforce2 I'm getting. At $189 on www.pricewatch.com it is kind of in the middle in price, but include 2 games, 12 demos, and the Smart Doctor utility which measures the temp of the core of the Geforce2, and if too hot, down clocks it to make the chip cool down.

Yeah that's what I was looking at this morning and Asus is a very good card. I am definately getting the pure version since I don't need all that other stuff bundled. When I was looking at pricewatch just before I wrote this, I found out that the price for one shot up 100 bucks! DAMN! I will have to hurry so I don't end up paying 300 bucks instead of 189 like you said.

Actually I'm planning on upgrading to an MX. I'm trading a tiny bit of speed for Twinview support and saving a few bucks, too.

If I WAS getting a GTS, that Asus actually sounds like a good deal. That's only a few bucks more than the cheapest of the cheap, and you get a name brand board with lots of goodies.

I'll sell it to you 120 shipped since its modded. I saw that the cheapest Viper V770 Ultra is 150 and will be going up as the holidays roll around. Really great card, sad to see it go

No I'm not just going to throw away my card, but just as an estimate, would you pay $100 for it? My cousin might want it to replace his TNT2 M64. My card can do 169/215.

Well the deal is done on the Geforce2, I bought me an Asus V7700 Pure 32meg for $189. Now I just hope that it works for with my mobo. I'm going to put it in the first day I get it just to make sure that is does work, and if it does, I'm going to put it back in the box, and have my parents wrap it for christmas.

My TNT2 Ultra will be going back to my dad who has been wanting it back ever since this summer when I took it to put in my computer, unless of course my cousin wants to buy it

Yep, same here, got my hot little hands on one too for $189. Just in time too, I think they are going up next week by 30-50 bucks. This holiday will make all the online retailers rich!
