    Refresh Rate in Windows 2K

Hey guys ... just installed windows 2000.. have this annoying problem.. when playing games they run at 60 MHz refresh rate instead of 100... how do i change that?
    My monitor can do 100...

You can manually set the refresh rate under the display properties instead of the optimal setting. Perhaps you may also want to get an updated Win2K driver for your video card.

I have the latest driver Detonator 3 6.47
Service Pack 1 and DirectX 8.0...
It is fine in windows ... desktop and stuff
But when i enter any game at any resolution my refresh automatically drops to 60.
    I have Asus v7100 Geforce 2 MX.
Tryed many things ... nothing works yet... anyone with a similar problem plz reply

good on desktop bad in games.

I never find the solution becouse I play games under W98SE.

The worst system is not the one that has slowest QIII frame rate, but one that not works corectly.

I have Windows ME for gaming also. But I played a few in windows 2000 and noticed that the perfomance is almost the same. I personally like 2k coz it is new and really good OS. At least Microsoft improved lots of things in Windows 2000 unlike they did in Millennium.

There must be some registry hack out there. Make sure that your monitor is properly recognized by Win2K. The October Windows 2000 Compatibility Update might be of help to you too.
