problems with voodoo 3500 and half life

i installed a voodoo 3500 today and it works good, BUT when i start half life all i get is sound! What should i do? is that a patch or a new driver for the card?

Try going into Half-life's .ini file and changing the default video mode (to Direct3D, probably) to see if that's the problem. I had some similar problems on UT with both my Voodoo3 3000 and 3500.

Since you have a 3dfx card you should use OpenGL and choose 3dfx mini driver, which will work for sure and have better performance than direct3d.

Hey guys I cant see any video and i cant even see the screen where i chose video driver or any game settings!
So what other advice do you have?
