Do you think getting a Voodoo5 5500 at $233 is a good deal or should I wait a little while till it drops below $200??

That price is about average for a V5 5500. However, I know Voodoo's are classic, but I would advise you to wait for the GeForce Ultra to come out. It will be about $300 if you got the money get that in my opinion.

I'm a big fan of Nvidia and have used the latest GeForce cards and know they kick Voodoo Butt. But, in the machine I'm using now I'm using a V3 3000. I want to upgrade it when I get my Athlon 1Ghz next month.

I still have a few games glide games that require a Voodoo card. Plus I want to do tests with the GeForce2 GTS, MX and V5 5500. To see for my self if there really is a difference. No doubt Nvidia will win. But I want to see teh power of the V5 5500 if there is any.

I just hope it will work with an Athlon 700 or 1ghz machine.
