Which monitor is better?

I am looking for a new monitor and was curious which one comes more recommended, a Samsung 700IFT 17" or a Viewsonic EF70 17". I don't have a lot of cash so I need something that ain't that expensive.

I don't know about the Samsung but Viewsonic makes some of the beter monitors and the cheap ones are about the same as their more expensive ones. I'd stay away from Sony and their condescending 1 year warranty though.

Suckers who buy that are just asking for warranties to go away as far as I am concerned.

SAMSUNG 700IFT if you ask me, great monitor, superfine dot, and high Horizontal frequency up to 96Khz.

I have that monitor for over, a year now and I like it.

I say the Samsung 700IFT. I have one and nothing can compare, at any price within this
size range.

I am very happy with my ViewSonic monitor. I can't compair it though to a Samsung. But I think ViewSonic is a very good monitor.

ViewSonic and Sony make the most reliable monitors and have great warantee.

Sorry Toolbox, you are wrong....It is true that Viewsonic and Sony both make great monitors, I agree.

Viewsonic also has a standard 3 year warranty on all of their monitors.

Sony on the other hand, as I stated before, has a 1 year warranty.

Not exactly great since they are the only company that has 1 year warranties.

Can we also agree on this fact???

Hey Kram 182, it sounds to me that both monitors that you suggested were reccomended. I'd say go for the one that has the better controls and sharper image. It is hard to tell on display, I know, but adjust them both high contrast and brightness and both low and see which looks best overall to you.
