Disabling Vsync? whats that??

I got my Voodoo 3 3000 PCI now, and I wonder how I get better performance out of it WITHOUT overclocking its clock frequency. I heard somewhere that you could "disable vsync" or something. How do I do this? How much better performance will I get in games? I've got the latest drivers from 3dfx.com (official ones)

Vsync (Vertical sync), to the monitor's refresh rate, (which if your monitor allows should be 75HZ minimum).Vsync should be enabled if you are getting textural tearing in games. Leave it dissabled unless you have this problem.

Blade, I already put a fan on it, and how do I disable it? I cant find it in 3DFx tools (latest version)

Download Gary Petersons Voodoo3 Overclocker, you can disable VSync there.

Well overclock the hell out of it then

actually turn vsync OFF unless you have problems. If you don't see the tearing, then you get slightly higher framerates.
