Video card freeze in the middle of the games

Well, I have an strange problem using the Viper V770 ultra 8tnt2 ultra) card:
When I am running a game (d3d or opengl), after a couple of minute, or sometimes an hour, the computer freeze, it just crash. I try to switch from drivers to drivers (5.13 to 6.18) without luck, and the fan that comes with the video card work fine, so I don`t know.. maybe is still overheating??, I really don`t know.
Please, if someone know something about this, reply to me. Thanks

p3-500
128ram
sy - 6vba 133 (motherboard)
SB live! (lifeware 3.0)

Might not work for you, but it worked for me - go and get the latest AGP miniport driver for your system. I got mine from amd.com as I am using an Athlon. For you, I would look at the motherboard manufacturers web site first.

I have via pro133, so I got the 4in1 4.24, without luck, I have the same problem

Is there any correlation on the temperature of the CPU or VIDEOCARD when it crashes??

If the system is generally cool (below 40C) then it may be a driver problem, however i doubt it...

Does it crash at teh same level or always 30mins into teh game?

yea, the system works fine, all the fan work fine, and I don`t know if it is a driver problem, because the game just freeze, just that, without errors.
Sometimes I can play for about 1 hour fine, but sometimes I can only see the intro or play the first 3 second, so I gess thta it isn`t a hardware problem or the card is failing

Disable that AGP miniport driver...
it was the cause for my AMD K62 of freezing during Hidden and Dangerous game...

the system still freezes but like 80% less.

I think that driver is very bad (and I use a SOYO MOBO)

Desinstall the agp... I already did that, and the computer still crash.

Are your case temps to hot?, this could be the cause for random lockups.
