Savage S540 16mb AGP VS V3 2000 AGP

Since I Finally got a MOBO that supports AGP slots, and because "I am new" in <<<fast 3Dvideo games>>> (I used to use Sis 530) ¿what video card do you think is faster, better or more reasonable?

or the savage s540 16mb that my friend gave me?

dont really have a benchmark software so ¿is it too big difference?

I just bought a Diamond Stealth III S540, the drivers for the thing are impossible and it made my computer restart time take up to five minutes!!! It also screwed with a few of my programs because the drivers suck. So i returned that piece of crap and got a really good Voodoo 3 3000, overclocked it and its running beautifully!!!! get a voodoo

Go with the Voodoo3, less headaches. S3 just dropped out of the graphics business and their support will be minimal at best.

If you are resourceful, patient, and lucky, you can get the ss540 installed and running smoothly, but it is still not as nice as a V3.

A "friend" gave you the s540? Well, it's more an "enemy". ;-) The Savage is pure crap! Go for the Voodoo.

Is that the one based on the Savage4? If so then it is a mix IMO! I had a voodoo3 3k and it was a very good card but Quake3 and Unreal/UT are like TONS better on my Savage4! I like playing Q3 800x600x32 with all detail all the way up and getting smooth frame rates where both My V3 3k and V2 SLI needed 640x480 to run decent with high detail settings on my system. Most games are better on Voodoo but if you just like Q3 and Unreal then Savage would be good to stay with.
