Get the TNT2 its a better card, at least in my opinion. But if I were you, I would get a Geforce DDR, since most TNT2's on the internet are like $150 (www.pricewatch.com), you should spend about $35 more and get a Leadtek Winfast Geforce256 DDR Revision B.
Good Luck.

Kazie, how much money do you want to pay? In another thread you're asking for the much cheaper Savage4 or TNT cards. You can find more of those "choose one out of two" questions:
TNT2U or G400, Voodoo4500 or GF1, GF2 or Voodoo5500, GF-MX or Radeon?
It all depends on your money.

Hey you can't forget the Voodoo 5 6000, with 128MB of RAM!! Price on it is $399. Kinda expensive, but I rather get that then a 100 bucks less for 64MB of RAM. Double the power!!
I was planning on spending about 50 bucks but I think ill spend around 100

Check out your local Best Buy. I just got my Voodoo 3 AGP for 99 bucks, well it was 129 bucks but it had a mail in rebate. And the PCIs are already cheap so go with a Voodoo 3. My AGP card has a 350MHz(Air cooled by fins, but a fan can be put on it) processor with 16MB of ram of course, and 166MHz core clock.
Go with the voodoo3. Go to Buy.com they have the voodoo3 3000 AGP 16mb for 108.95 - 30(mail in rebate)=78.95 total.
OR the voodoo3 2000 PCI for 82.85- 30(mail in rebate)=52.85 total
Voodo 3 is fast, stabile, and you can overclock that card very good.
TNT2 hase mutch better image quality, and on some systems it is pain in the a$@ ( I don`t count Ali V problem for SS7 systems), but when you finaly make it to work it is a great card, few % slower then Voodoo 3 but still great.
Also TNT2 needs more powerfull CPU to perform like Voodoo 3, but if you have enything that is in range of PII@500 then CPU isue is irelevant.
also TNT2 can addres up to 32Mb of RAM but in gaming performances that is not very noticable in 16bit colour.
32bit on TNT2 is O.K. but not very fast for games like Quake 3, and on some other games that does not require high number of FPS, 32bit is great. Homeworld as my favorite game looks mutch better on TNT2 in 32bit then on Voodoo 3.
Basicly if you have ALi V chipset don`t buy nVIDIA graphic cards, If you have K6-x CPU better solution is Voodoo 3.

actually i have a ali v chipset and a viper770 tnt2. it works fine just make sure u have agp drivers 1.60 or later. I believe the tnt2 is much better on a higher cpu so if u plan to upgrade get the tnt2
hey dutch! kinda boring huh?.... I remember myself posting the SAME topic not long ago. I ended up buying the voodoo 3 than the tnt2 and the v3 rocks! the voodoo 3 2000 can overclock quite well and its also great for cpu's 600 and below. if you have a faster processor and you really have a tight budget of around 100, get the geforce SDR in pricewatch.com they're around $117 .... just save up $17 and there you have a faster video card than both the v3 and the tnt2
