Geforce question

Ok, I have a tnt2 ultra and am in the market for a new video card. Is the 3D prophet 32meg DDR a good card and is $200 a good price? what is the best brand Geforce DDR? (not geforce 2) Thanks

Well I just bought the 3D prophet 32meg DDR today and I'm havin some major problems. It seems this card isn't even out performing my TNT. My frame rates are hardly better and Half-Life doesn't seem to look any better either. I read a lot of reviews on the 3d Prophet DDR which said it was a great card one of the best.

$200 is a GREAT price. I got mine for $299 at compUSA.

Well I thought the 3D prophet was one of the best GeForce DDR cards but maybe I was wrong. I hear the Annihilator Pro is also a good card.

Well, a couple of weeks ago I downloaded Hercules 5.16 drivers at http://www.3dchipset.com/default.asp but they're gone now. They used to have listing for lots of GeForce cards, but now only Asus. Dunno what's going on there, but the Hercules 5.16 driver work great and they keep all the Guillemot/Hercules features.

Well I tried the drivers that came with the card then I downloaded the latest drivers for the card then I downloaded the drivers directly from Nvidia and none of them made any difference on my performance...

I have an Amd K62-500 mHZ processor with 64 megs of ram running off Windows 98 1st edition. My friend has the same processor except he has 128 megs of ram and windows 98 second edition running off a Voodoo 3 and his frame rate kicks my frame rate's *** =]

You really need 128 MB of RAM. Get yourself another 64 MB stick and I think you'll see a real difference.
