    AMD Athlon proc.

I was wondering what the best card is for a AND Athlon proc. with 600 MHZ 128 ram and 30 gigz. Some told me a Asus V-6800 Deluxe was good with that kind of proc but I dont know that much about it except that it has a geforce chip. And are there any other video cards that are good with amd under 220 $.
I was looking at the viper II and it looks preetty good for only 110 $.

At leas u have a new video card i have a crappy expert@play98 8mb and cant get any direct x games to work longer than 2 mins.
So now I'm saving up to get the best graphics card that works good with my system and at a good price.

i think the viper II is a pretty good choice it is a highly underrated card. If you buy a retail boxed version there is like a 20 dollar mail in rebate. Geforce should be good but they have compatability probs(or so i heard)

No at present I use a voodoo3 2k on a Compaq k62400, that I cant disable the onboard. This really sucks. Every thing is slow.

I have a V6800 (not deluxe though)to go with my Athlon 700, and it's a real power duo! they eat performance hungry games/apps for breakfast!

The V6800 can be overclocked to 150/330 core/memory (from 120/300), stable! And that makes a difference, believe me.

The card comes with hardware monitoring (temp and fan speed) which can be very useful when overclocking/cooking your card.

    I recommend it!

If you have Irongate based MB then don`t buy GeForce.

Any other card on the Irongate MB while work great.
