That's just the amount of RAM you can set the system to use when it's running out of texturing memory in 3D games and the such.
It's pretty slow though even with AGP 4x.
As far as I know and as far as I have experienced, it gives you zero extra performance.
Usually the aperture size is set the size of your RAM, but not much using setting it anything above 128 though.
Seems like, as you can set the framebuffer from 1 to 8 megs, that your so called videocard is using some of your RAM as videomemory, one of those crappy shared videosolutions. Aargh, just leave it to 8 for best performance.
