Video Card Purchase Query

Im thinking up buying a new video card as my voodoo2 is getting old.

I have AMDK2-3D 300MHz with 128MB ram and am running win2000, likely to update hole system in the next couple of months though.

Im Running 3D studio max and lots of other graphical programs, plus games and would like to buy a really good card..not too sure, i have been reading posts and i was leaning to the geforce cards??

Since I have never owned an AMD K-x system, I wouldn't be a good source of info. Yes the Geforce may be good for you, but I have a feeling you may want to lean toward a flavor of V3. Just MHO though.

What card do you have in your system now?

The current card i have is a
Diamond Moster 3DII, but this is not fully supported under win2000.

The system im buying this card for will likely be a pentIII chip as i will update with that, not another AMD chip

IMO, I would go with a geforce/2; I have had both a tnt1 and tnt2u; both cards are good (and the geforce/2 are better).

3dfx seems to be regurgitating their h/w until the Rampage comes out later down the line.
