    Guillemot Prophet

I just bought this card but when I install it and boot up, my mouse pointer is gone. You can see the effects of it moving over things but you can not see the pointer. Its like its invisible. Has anyone had this problem. Thanks. Tom

I have one and haven't had any problems at all. Try changing back to the VGA drivers, deleting the Prophet drivers and reinstalling them. If that doesn't work, try different drivers. If you're using the ones on the CD, go to the Guillemot website and download the 3.77 drivers.

Also, describe your system and what's your I/O voltage at.

Im not too good at this stuff so I dont know what I/O means, sorry. My system is a pentium III 733 with 256 MB and a 40GB hard drive. A Asus P3V4X motherboard. Hope this helps.

The I/O voltage is also referred to as the 3.3V, because that's its nominal value. Your mobo has an undocumented VIO jumper on it (VIO is stamped on the motherboard next to it). I don't have your mobo but if I remember correctly is somewhere over by the SDRAM DIMM slots. If you change that jumper, it will up the I/O voltage to 3.6V which is better for a GeForce.

Also, make sure you're using the 4.17 VIA drivers and not the newer 4.20. Your P3V4X doesn't like the newer drivers. The 4.17 drivers are the one that came on the motherboard CD. And like I said before, you can try the new 3.77 drivers available at either the Guillemot or Hercules websites.
