Diamond Viper 770 on Via-MVP3 super7 m/board

I have a Viper 770 on an AOpen Ax59pro Mb with 128megs PC100 Ram.My CPU is K6-2 500Mhz.
Diamond viper770 was an upgrade from Diamond viper550.The problem is that for the money I gave I have only a minor increase in speed and only at high reslolutions with 32bit color.I am not a new user so I dont want any advises about bios settings or driver updates.Everything is done.If someone has a super 7 board with MVP3 chipset and the same card please give me some info about the performance of his system

Your CPU is the bottle neck. As you bump up the color and resolution, it puts more load on the graphics card. This is where the TNT2 will show itself on your system. I ran into the same wall with my Voodoo3 2000 when I overclocked it. I got not increase at the resolutions that I was using, but now I can run at the next higher resolutions without any performance hit.

I know that amd k6-2 is not a top performer but I was expecting to see some improvement
comparing the performance of V550 and V770.

I have a 15" monitor so for me using res higher than 1024x768 in pointless.I did the upgrade because I wanted to boost the 3d performance of my system at resolutions less than 1024x728 and 32bit color means nothing to me..
