DirectX error
Im not sure this is the right place for my question, but since I've been helped here before I'll give it a try.
When I start a game I sometimes get the following error message.
DirectX error:
"One ore more of the caps bits passed to the callbacks are incorrect"
This kind of mean nothing to me. Does anyone know what it means and waht I can do about it?

He's just joking (I hope).
Reinstall the LATEST drivers for your graphics card, and sound card too, it won't hurt. After that, run the DirectX setup/installation again.
Install drivers via the StandardVGA or something to be sure that the old drivers are gone.
Don't fool around too much with DirectX settings if you don't know what you're doing. Use defaults.
I hope it works!

Uninstall Direct X, reinstall Windows, reinstall video drivers, then reinstall Direct X.

A couple of things to try:
Download the latest patch ver 1.05. You'll need to run the patch in the Ultima 9 directory.
ftp://ftp.owo.com/pub/ua/patch/u9patch105.exe
Patch installation tips

If that doesn't work go to the official Ultima 9 forums at the URL below and post a message. A lot of guys from Origin including the programmers go there regulary so they should be able to help you there.
