I found the Detonator 2.08's to be best for my TNT2 - they're a fair bit faster than the drivers that came with my Viper.
Not that thet I'm saying they will work the same for your card - but give 'em a try, if you find they're not as good as your CL drivers you can always switch back to using them.
I have a CL TNT2U. I decided to try the det 3.53 drivers even though I have heard some
horror stories about them. I have had no lockups and I see probably around 10fps more
then the cl drivers. Supposedly they have better directx7 support.
I recommend trying them. If they lock up you can always try 2.08 or go back to the cl
drivers.
Joao,I have tried quite a few drivers and 2.08 were the best for my system. You may find a different set is best for you. 2.08
seems to be the one most people pick.
Just out of curiosity, the CL TNT2U drivers are based off of the det 2.08 drivers. Are
they better, worse, or the same performance wise as the det 2.08 drivers?
Also, if you switch from cl drivers to detonator drivers, make sure you completely
uninstall the cl drivers. A lot of folks have enountered problems not doing so.
I basically went through the following steps:
1. set video card driver to standard vga.
2. uninstall cl drivers (add/remove software).
3. deleted all remaing files as defined by the cl install file.
4. installed the detonators.
There were a few restarts in there.
