Help with Unreal Tournament on a Riva tnt

Could somebody please help me. I have a Riva tnt card made by STB. My problem is that whenever I try to play UT using OpenGL, I can play for a while, but then I always get a UT General Protection fault. I am currently using the 3.48 version of UT, and the latest(1.60) drivers by STB. Does anyone else have any riva tnt drivers that run stable in Unreal Tournament?

Have you tried Nvidia's detonator drivers ?
I have a CL TNT board and it works well with Unreal using the detonator drivers. Epic says that the last patch of Unreal uses virtually the same graphics engine as UT. I don't have direct experience with UT.

Why not try D3D instead of OpenGL??

Good idea. I use OpenGL because I think it looks considerably better but if it doesn't work it makes sense to try an alternative.

Try the Detonators Drivers 3.53 from Nvidia Site, they work fine for me, I have a TNT2
and UT runs better than with the original driver CD of my card and no crashes with OGL.

Try it and post here what about.
    Get the drivers here :

    http://www.nvidia.com/Products.nsf/htmlmedia/software_drivers.html

If they doesn´t work for you as flavio and Gomez says , try the D3D, and post here again.

    Hi.

    I'm running a p2 400 with a cl TNT using
the latest (10/6) CL drivers. I tried openGl, glide (CL unified drivers),
and D3D. So far D3D (with dx7) has given me the best performance.

On a side note, I had bad luck with the 3.53 detonator drivers. No measurable speed increase
and occasional lock ups in baldur's gate and UT.
