TNT2 U, 150mhz core is faster than 175mhz core?
I bought Xentor 32 which is clocked at 175mhz chip. Then I returned it and got CL 3D blaster TNT2 Ultra.
I did quake2 test with both cards and it turns out that CL TNT2 Ultra with 150mhz default core is about 10fps faster than Xentor 32 in every resultions.
P.S. does anyone have TNT2 Ultra 32mb with just 4 ram chips on each side of the board, making total of 8 chips on card?
I got one, but I thought all the TNT2 U 32mb cards has 8 ram chips on each side, total of 16 ram chips....
i don't know....

I'm betting the CL had newer drivers. Honestly, driver implementation is much more important than clock speed. In fact, the whole clock speed issue is blown out of proportion... For instance, you might find that with the same drivers, 15 mhz higher clocked board might get .5-2 faster fps. So it goes...

I used the latest driver from Nvidia for Xentor 32.
Guillemot's driver is same as Nvidia's refrence driver so i went with nvidia's driver.
Both card with latest drivers.
