Help a friend with a 3dfx Voodoo 1 ?

My friend at work just got into the "gamming" world and i use gamming very very very loosely. He got a P200 with 90 MB EDO ram and a Diamond Stealth Pro 2000 (s3 virge) and a Canopus Pure 3d Voodoo 1. The thing is i can get games that require DirectX 5.0 or higher to work, like i get a black screen with sound (which is a direct x driver problem).

Since 3dfx and Canopus havent written new drivers for this really old card what do i do ? Tell the guy he cant play the new games ?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thabks SDTOM, but i tried that already. I might try it all over again from a clean install (EEEEEK ! hours on this P200) But i said i would fix it so Doh!.

I have a similar set-up(233mmx, 64meg sdram,win98,ati 3d expression and Canopus pure3dlx).I am using Canopus' Driver 4-26-1999,201.10.So far play everything(nhl99,Hidden& Dangerous,Starwars pod racer,Fleet command,halflife,Need for speed3).Only Game I cannot play so far is NFS4 High Stakes.Because of glide driver,need latest one I guess,and all I have is 2.45.Oh well!Make sure you use the Pure 3d as the primary 3d device in advance settings,and disable the 3d capablities of the S3 virge somewhere in its settings.
