    I have an incompatibility

    I have a 3d Blaster Savage 4 Pro(PCI), but it cannot work in my system with DIMM memory, i have a good board with an intel chipset, for MMX, well the system hangs very rapidily when use DIMM, but works fine when use SIMM, can somebody help me?

    Most SIMMs need 5 volts, while most DIMMs need 3 volts. Some motherboards allow you to use one type or the other, but not both at the same time. These motherboards generally have a jumper on them to change the power supplied to the memory from 5 volts to 3 volts. Look for the jumper. You may be giving too much voltage to the DIMMs and they are simply shutting down.
