    Diamond Stealth III

How does the Stealth III stack up against the Voodoo3 2000 PCI or AGP card?

    yeah
i just got a diamond stealth 3 and i was just wondering if i made a mistake in not getting a voodoo 3 2k instead. I must admit it does go faster and look a lot better than my matrox g200 but would a v3 2k go even faster on my p2 300 regardless in the drop in image quility?

A voodoo3 2000 will go a little faster but not that much.
Voodoo3 does glide, is fast, and has good compatibility that are it's pros.
The Stealth has better OpenGL for 3d apps and better image quality.
The difference is not that big.

somehow that makes me feel better.
anyway, while we're on the topic of the savage4, why doesn't quake3 test 1.08 work without extreme graphic errors?

    The Savage4 performs great on Q3test 1.08.
Maybe you should try reference drivers from S3 and you should use the MiniGL, it's really fast.
You can get all drivers and other stuff at http://wiktor.dk/~gxs/ or
    sgn.fdn.com

    Btw.
    I get around 45 Fps in Q3test 1.08's demo1 @ maximum settings except 16-bit textures an 800x600 res.
    Not bad, I thought.
