    Voodoo 3 problem. Trashed computer.

I installed a voodoo 3 2000 and experienced system lockups. Apparently that was heat. But, while trying to install another game, need for speed IV, the install would lock up, and now my system won't even boot up anymore, even with the original video card installed. Has anyone heard of the v3 cards damaging your computer?

Let me guess... your soundcard is the Live Value? And your motherboard is made by Asus? If I'm wrong then I don't know the solution to your problem. If I'm rigt, your soundcard is causing all the trouble!

Sound card is Ensonic, computer is a p166 from gateway. After an hour of being on the phone with Gateway tech support, they told me the PCI bus was fried and I needed a new motherboard.
