how do you benchmark quake2?

use these commands after pulling down the menu with the ~ key.

Timedemo 1
map demo1.dm2

or

Timedemo 1
map demo1.dm2

Also download the crusher demo from somewhere like voodooextreme.com, put it in your base2q/maps directory, make it if you dont have it, and type:

timedemo 1
map crusher.dm2

Also download gamespy, from www.gamespy.com to get all the servers out there.
