How do I know if a G400 is MAX?

    Some questions?

    - Only the MAX version has a fan on the chip ?

    - All MAX have Dual Head Video ?? Or there are non-Max version with Dual Head ?

    - How can I identify a MAX from a non-MAX?

    Here are some visible differences:
    - the MAX does indeed have a fan (the 'normal' doesn't)
    - the MAX has a smaller heatsink
    - the MAX uses 5ns SGRAM
I assume with Dual Head Video you mean the Dual Head feature. There are no versions of the MAX without it (as fas as I know), there are also no versions of the MAX with 16MB of memory. There are versions of the 'normal' G400 with or without Dual Head. If you want to know more differences check out www.g400.com

All those are true, but in case youre having trouble identifying the SGRAM markings and such, theres always the most accurate indicator - the price tag. The standard G400 should be ~$190US, the G400MAX up around $230-$240US, depending on where you buy, of course.
