    You probably still have very high framerates with so basic graphics, even in 4k resolution, don't you?

    lol using the internal benchmark, 625 fps in demo1. Took less than 2 seconds to run.

    Yes I do! Yes I do! 625 fps is unacceptable!

    I wonder if I can scale down my monitor to 640x480 (or something close to it) Curious to see that score.

    EDIT: @ 1024x768 not much faster (645 fps).

    I only have 1080p monitors, the lower they can go is 800x600. Not much of a desktop at that res.

    I must say I do like this new (?) engine; seems to do everything well. Don't know what else is out there but I'm off the rest of the week so I'll see what I can dig up.

    Last time, I played Quake, I think it was in 2002 or 2003 with QuakeGL. For the past few weeks, I have been playing Quake2, which, in my opinion, is the best Quake there ever was.
