    That will also be me, but, I since there is a 45gB download anyway, I might just enter the key in Steam and download the whole thing.

    Just loaded up doom3; tech is awesome, story is not. I don't get what the Rage engine is supposed to do to this game (looks the same)

    isn't doom3 Rage idtech4 engine and doom3 bfg edition idtech5?

    I never completed doom 3, I don't know what was my problem, but just didn't like-it that much.

    I think D3 is ID4 & Rage/D3BFG is ID5; somehow my D3 got updated to the BFG edition. Textures seem blurrier on the edges.

    I still have the CD's; might install them to compare.

    Think about it, on monday you'll receive the game, then install-it and go thru a 45gB download. This brings the question: How long, at 5mb, will it take you to download the update?

    1+ days (if left on 24/7) I remember leaving it on for 25gB updates to Rage. Thank God we crappy DSL users don't have caps!
