    how good does the 740 intel chipset work with an amd k-6 II 450?

    how good would the 740 intel chipset video card work with an amd k-6 3 450? what is a good low price card?

    It suck. Get a Voodoo3 3000 if you got a proccessor like that (or a TNT2 if the new drivers really do work good).

    i740 will suck big time, and it will probably give u worst 3D performance and below-average 2D performance, it will not only slow down your system on graphic rendering, but u may face other incompatible issue and more.

    The shop where I buy my stuff has a i740 on a
    K6-II system. It worked very well. I tested it out with Half-Life. It didn't do too bad.
    The Banshee and the V3 was a whole lot better.
    For the price it would be wise to go with the V3.
