[RESOLVED] unable to change date & time in win & SP1
Hi,
i have user in my office with user status (not administrator) in his computer. There is Win 7 SP1 installed on it. He can't change the date & time, but when i login with administrator status, i can change that very well.
I also tried to add the specified user in Group policy editor in : Configuration/Windows Settings/Security Settings/Local Policy/User Right/Change the system time, but it didn't work.
But, it's not happened with other users with Win 7 installed on it (without SP1). In this case, i just only change the level to minimum notify in User Account Control and the "user status" able to change the date & time.
Is there somebody can help me on this?
@ SpywareDr,
because my user here (HRD staff) need to adjust the time, every 2 weeks to synchronize with the alarm bell (for working hour bell).
Don't know why, between machine & the computer time, there're always a different time in every 2 weeks (about 1-3 minutes)
@Steve R Jones
i already did it, but it sounds annoying to me, because i have to switch from admin & switch back to user in every 2 weeks.
But i have a good news just now,
i try to combine between change the registry in : Configuration/Windows Settings/Security Settings/Local Policy/User Right/Change the system time and change the user account control to minimum level (without notify) and it's worked.PERFECT.
What sort of system is the alarm bell hooked up to? Is that computer driven? If so, it's possible that the time on that can be kept in sync with your domain controller (like the other systems would be).
