Thumbs up [RESOLVED] I want to re-install Windows on an SSD

I recently installed an Intel 320 series SSD. I loaded Windows 7 64 bit, but had some hardware issues, that messed up my installation. Well the hardware issues have been corrected, but what I want to do now is start over, re-install windows 7 on the SSD. Do I need to do anything in particular to the SSD first? In what I have been reading from various sources it seems there are various opinions as how to proceed. Exactly what operations do I need to perform to do this corectly?
    Thanks!

Thanks Shinma, a lot of good information there. A lot of stuff I had not thought about. However, since my SSD already has Windows (a botched install) on it, is there anything, such as secure erase, format, or whatever, that I need to do before re-installing the OS? Or should I just pop in the install media and install as if it were on a regular HDD?

    Thanks again.

Effectiveness of secure erase on a SSD is questionable at best.
    Article/link,

    If/where applicable,
I would follow the suggestions mentioned in the other thread and just clean install the operating system.

Issue resolved, I performed a clean install and all is well. (Except for a completely different issue, which I will post in in MOBO/CPU)
    Thanks all!
