[RESOLVED] Turn 2 Partition Hard Drive back into 1 Drive?
I need to turn a 500gb hard drive that is partitioned into 2 drives back into 1 drive. This computer is still on Win XP.
Obviously I need to have my files backed up on another drive (I have another 500gb drive on this same system). Do I just need to delete the logical drive in the Win XP Computer Management & then format the drive in order for it to all work properly? Or is it anything more in-depth than this? Any info would be appreciated to confirm that I am going about this the right way.

Are you trying to merge your C: drive with another partition? Or are they both non-boot partitions?

Both drives that I would be combining are non-boot drives. The other drive is my C:, which I will use to backup this data, but the C: or drives on it will not be deleted at all.

Then disk management should be fine.
