    help with command line

how do i follow these directions?

"You can use the command line to print a test page.

    RUNDLL32 PRINTUI.DLL,PrintUIEntry /k \\machine\printer

Just put this in a batch file and run it as a scheduled task for the morning."

    To run a command line,
    Start > Run...
Type in the command line, then click OK.

    Additional information/link,
To run a batch file at a specific time,
Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Scheduled Tasks > Add Scheduled Task,
    Enter selection(s) when prompted.

    Additonal batch file tutorials/link,
    "I know nothing."
    Cheers.

Just open the properties page for the printer and click the print test page button.

    RUNDLL32 PRINTUI.DLL,PrintUIEntry /k \\machine\printer

Are you chaning the machine and printer to Match the computers name and the printers name?

Is the printer a networked printer or is it attached to the machine you're sitting at?

Why is there a space in your printer sharename? You shouldn't use spaces. You can try double quotes, but I would rename the printer to a proper sharename.

    RUNDLL32 PRINTUI.DLL,PrintUIEntry /k "\\RAS-PC\EPSON WorkForce 30 Series"

Is the printer functioning at the device to which it is attached?
What happens when you simply print a document using either an application or from a CMD window?

    CMD Example
    print d:\\pcname\printername \path\filename
