mp3/wma player errors

I have a innovage digital audio player MP3 WMA. one day I laid it on my laptop, and it erarsed everything on it: e-book; music; video etc. now all I can do is store data on it, and it won't play anything back. I been trying to find the owner/user manual; so I can reprogram it to start playing again. I can't get into the registry or harddrive shell. I, disconnected the battery for a day or too, and it didn't reset, like it should have. any info. about this. it seem I'm not the ojnly one with this problem.

yes thank you; but, I have to still find out how to reprogram this unit, to use the play back. I can load the files on it; but, it won't play back. it still tells me the folder is enmty.

I had a good look through Google and it appears that an awful lot of people are having problems with this brand of player, especially the Shift 3. Have you tried File Recovery software ? You can get freeware recovery software from the following link:
http://www.filehippo.com/software/archiving/backup/ Install it on your laptop, connect up your player and try to recover all or some of your files and then I suggest you get a more known and reliable make with at least a 12 month warranty, do a bit of research first, ask questions in here, they know their stuff in this place!
