    Will not work. Laptop is IDE. Drive is SATA II.

    Hmm. Do you know if anyone makes any IDE SSD drives?

    Looking at the Newegg results for "IDE SSD", seems only Transcend has some models. They seem to be very expensive and older tech than current SATA SSDs.
