Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Push pin Heatsink

Hello: I bought an intel core 2 Duo E8400 Retail Box with E0 core stepping with an Intel HeatsinK Push pin,I just wanted to know what you guys thought

of the push-pin format cooling that you get
with core 2's these days

PS:the manual is unclair on how to install that heatsink/Fan
also the video from intel about the install not good at all

The retail heatsink is alright as long as you aren't going to overclock.

Of course there are better third party solutions, but that's not what you asked. Many of them require you to remove the motherboard for installation.

It's up to you if you want to spend extra $$ for a third party heatsink. The stock one is sufficient.

The Ultra 120 is pretty tall, so you'd need a big case also.

SPCR (link below) have good tests on heatsinks, emphasis on quiet. ThermalRight are generally among the best, and expensive.

If you're not comfortable with the stock Intel, just get a third party heatsink. It seems little sketchy when an article has a link to a store.
