[RESOLVED] one touch 4 mini
Just got a maxtor onetouch 4 min 250 gig to act as a back up.
Questions, it comes with two usb plugs and on one end it connects with a min plug to the unit.
the directions say to connect both usb ports (one labeled data and power and the other labeled power) to my computer.
Why, I don't understand, unless they mean connect one usb to one computer and the other to another computer.
anybody use this and can explain?
TIA

They probably want you to connect both USB plugs into the same computer, so that the device can draw power from both USB ports. On some devices, one plug does not deliver enough power.

Exactamundo.
I'm guessing you already read the Maxtor manual. Simpletech has similar devices and their guide has illustrations.
