    Inspiron 2500 memory limitations

I have a Dell Inspiron 2500 w. 1.0 ghz processor. system only will accept (max) 2x 256mb pc100 sodimm... what is the limitation? hardware? bios? anybody know how to mod this to accept 512 mb sticks (2x)?
    Any overclocking info available?

    chipset. you cannot mod it.

OEM bioses don't have overclocking features either.

If it has 2 x 256Mb now, be happy. If it doesn't yet, be careful of memory density issues. Let us know.
