When I replaced my video card my external hard don't show up anymore, any ideas why I lost it from my computer? Even if I checked it from the disk management it's not showing there anymore either.
Most likely explanation is a cable bumped loose. Computers can be cramped and difficult to work in. Check and replug all the cables, especially the hard drive power and IDE or Sata cable.
edit: External Same deal. check all the connections, and power switch on the external, if it has one.
what kind of external drive is it? is it plugged into the motherboard or a pci card (like usb2.0 card)? maybe you bumped the adapter card while installing your video card.
