    monitor problem - horizontal lines

    hi there..

    recently i had these lines appearing on my monitor. comes and goes away randomly. sometimes when i hit the side of the monitor it goes away.

    samsung syncmaster 795MB

    its really irritating sometimes..

    Can you try another monitor?

    i have tried with a couple of other monitors and it doesn't happen.
    i'm pretty sure its a monitor problem.

    I would think its a monitor problem if it doesn't happen with another working monitor.

    If it's not under warranty, just replace it. It's not worth the time or money to fix an old CRT monitor.
