[RESOLVED] Philips SPD8005BM/17 slim dvdrw

I had to to take the player out of my wife's Travelmate 2300 and almost pull apart my Averartec 5428 to get THAT dvd burner out and install the Phillips. Instructions worked perfrctly and drive is a-ok in the Travelmate. Special thanks to Player_x for the original firmware. Again , Thanks ALL!

I did same mistake friends.... used EEPROM to make backup which doesnt make whole backup.

Player_x had been sending u emails on logicfry id... please reply

No DVDs working... but CDs work....what might b wrong?

Did same steps as mentioned except that I am on Vista
